Though I am getting pretty excited about how it is turning out, as it looks like it is coming together really well! I am just going with the flow on this blanket, I don't have a plan as to how it will turn out...so it will be a surprise to me as well as you guys.
I have thought of doing some rows of granny borders, and then possible adding more squares around the edges so it sorts of breaks up the squares a little....again I am not sure.
I just love how pretty it looks up close, I read in a book that you can join things together using dc and that is what I did. At first I wasn't sure of it as I thought it would be too raised up, but now I see it gives my blanket a wee bit of character :)
That's me for One A Day this week, hope you enjoyed reading and I appreciate everyone's loveliness. If you would like to see more people that are participating in One a Day you can check either Ravelry or Gingerbread Girl's blog, and even join in the fun if you like it!

ReplyDeleteThis is Tink from Master of a Thousand Things, btw. Can't comment with my Google account as it has a hissy fit when I try to sign in, and since you've got Anon switched off I can't post with Name/URL like I do elsewhere! So had to use my LJ ID!

I am in love with your blanket and am leaning heavily towards changing my blanket colours and going with more rainbow colours and different size granny's - in other words, more like yours!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful! I love it! And I especially love the way it is joined, I have been trying to decide whether or not to join my coat that way too. I think it gives it much more character and definition. I am also loving the different sized squares! Very effective. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love rainbow coloured blankets. And I love the design, where the bigger squares are surrounded by the smaller ones.
