I created this blog after finding my love of crochet, and I wanted to dedicate a space where I could write about my adventures. I learned to crochet hats, my first granny squares and cute things like hearts, and jar covers.
OCTOBER
My time started to strain, as I started a new job and less time devoted to crocheting and starting projects, but never seeming to finish some. I started a cushion cover, and continued with two blankets as I had less time for new projects.
The blue Nana blanket went into hibernation during November, although I continued on with my Rainbow blanket very slowly. One night I also had the notion to learn the ripple effect, and I made the little squares for the rainbow blanket.
DECEMBER
I don't think I did any crochet except for a few moments with my rainbow blanket.
All I can say is that having a love for crochet and blogging has led me to seeing lots of lovely blogs, and of course very lovely people. I can't wait for the fun of 2012!
I look forward to seeing your craft develop this year.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that ("All I can say is that having a love for crochet and blogging has led me to seeing lots of lovely blogs, and of course very lovely people. I can't wait for the fun of 2012!") Craft Sister!
ReplyDeleteI really like how you laid this post out.
Hazel,
ReplyDeleteYour crochet work is truly lovely.
I'm so glad I joined WIP; otherwise, I wouldn't have discovered your lovely blog. I'm new to crochet, but have been thinking about making something big -- like a blanket.
I LOVE your rainbow colored throw. I've decided to teach myself to crochet to make a granny square throw and granny is kicking my butt! My squares are looking like circles!
ReplyDeleteI love your projects - so beautiful and colorful! Looking forward to the fun of 2012 :)
ReplyDeleteIf you only started crocheting in September you've done amazingly well, i would never have guessed! And I find my knitting mojo vanishes sometimes for a while, but it always comes back.
ReplyDeleteDear Hazel, I found your nice blog just now and joined. You like crochet like me. All your crochets are so beautiful and I ll follow you for your 2012 projects. Best wishes..
ReplyDeleteWow! I love all of them... The grannys are my favorite. ♥ Wishing you a colorful, happy, creative 2012!
