Berry Burst Shawl and Yarn Along

I am making something new this week, a shawl for myself. I am using a pattern from Ravelry called Crovontuli which is shown in the photograph below.
I chose this one because of its lovely shape

Mine is starting with a lovely pink colour, but I am undecided on whether to keep it a nice solid colour or to use other shades of pink and purples...what do you think?
For the Yarn Along I have included the book I am currently reading on my kindle, "The Midwife's Confession". I have only just recently bought it, as I was recommended to read it. I am enjoying it as it is slightly different from the books I would normally read, and it is quite mysterious.

  1. What a beautiful shawl, the colour is really pretty.

  2. Such a happy color. The shape of the shawl will be so neat!
    Are you on Goodreads?

  3. great pattern. I would keep it a solid colour, I think you will wear it more.

  4. what a beautiful shawl.

  5. I love that shawl pattern! It's a tough call about the colours.....that pink is so pretty, you might have to add the purple and see what you think, you can always pull it back out.

  6. It's beautiful so far, I lookf forward to seeing it finished.

WHen you aren't wearing it as a shawl, you can wear it as a massive scarf in winter!

  7. I love the shawl!! But I really like the pink color you are beginning with. I am curious how it would look solid or even in a couple really similar pink tones, but I think the stripe is nice too. I think it depends how you would wear it. I think solid would be fancier.

  8. oooh I love the shawl. Looks like a fun project. Can;t wait to see what colours you end up with. I am also reading a book called Midwives. Its more about a court case though. Interesting but not what I thought it was going to be.
