This past week has not seen one stitch of knitting, only lots of wonderful crochet! I haven't started any new projects as I want to work on my current two as much as possible. I love them both so much!
Sunny stripe is getting so big now, and I always feel so warm when I crochet it. The last time I measured the blanket, it was over 50 inches! When I pull it up to my neck it only leaves my toes bare, and I am 5ft 10inches so you can imagine it is quite big now. I want to make it big enough to cover from my neck right down past my toes, I am feeling ambitious!
Berry Burst is so addictive to make, and it covers my shoulders properly. The top left photo is how it currently looks, however it will be staying this way for a while as I have ran out of pink wool (sad face). I am debating whether to complete the rest of it in the purple wool, or to keep it on hold while I order another ball of wool. Decisions, decisions!
I am not including the book I am reading as it is the same one that I mentioned in my last WIP post, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I am taking my time with it as I usually read it on my break at work, so I can keep my time free at home for crochet.
As it is Wednesday, here are the links to WIP where you will see plenty others taking part, and Yarn Along to see what others are crafting and reading as well!
I think you definitely need to wait for the pink.
ReplyDeleteLove the blanket, that's the amazing thing about crochet it grows so quickly
Thanks, I think I will wait for pink....as I think finishing it in purple will look a bit weird!
DeleteLOVE the pictures, especially love the way Berry Burst is coming out. I would also wait for the pink and keep the pattern flowing. Hugs xox
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yeah I am totally going to wait for the pink! :)
Deletelove the pink and purple. and that pic of you holding up is very cool, with your silhoetted against it.
ReplyDeleteI think if you finished your berry shawl in purple it would awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe sunny blanket definitely has grown. You are so patient!
I thought my sunny stripe would be a drag, but I have surprised myself by nearly finishing it way before it needs to be finished!
DeleteI love the blanket! I think making it big enough is the perfect, generous size! Great job with the colors and being ambitious!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes I want it to be generous as I love blankets that completely wrap me up!
DeleteYour sunny stripe blanket has grown a lot, wonderful! I love the colours of your shawl, they look really nice together. I hope you don´t have to wait too long for your pink!
