A Quiet Week

This week has been quiet since I have been working night shift at work.
I have done a little bit of crocheting on Sunny Stripe, and I am down to my last bit of white wool. I have plenty of yellow wool left, and I don't really want to order more white as I am nearly finished, however it is still a bit short of the height I wanted for it. I may just finish the white then finish with the yellow and then border the blanket with it too.
I mentioned a new book in my last post, which is 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett. I found the book in the Amazon Kindle store after I watched the film last Friday, as I was unaware there was a book version. I enjoyed watching the film and decided to buy the book as I know that the book usually has more detail to it. It has been very strange as they do match similarly but the film has been done in a different order from the book, but I am still enjoying it so far.

Snapshots of June

My Instagram snapshots from June!
We are now in July and its less than halfway through the year to Christmas! June has been quite busy for me as I have made lots of progress on Sunny Stripe and Berry Burst. I have read the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, and currently working on the last book of the Hunger Games triology. I have a new book lined up for when I finish Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, I will let you know the next book in a yarn along sometime. I am quite pleased that I seem to be making progress in both my crochet AND reading.

On a side note, I have also had twelve driving lessons and starting to feel a little bit comfortable with the whole idea. Although I have to say that from lesson two through to six I kept threatening to cancel my lessons as I absolutely hated it, as my fear of panicking while driving was terrible! However I was brave and endured my nerves and panics through the worst of it. I have had enough lessons that I am learning to do manoeuvres now, I can do turning on the road (3-point turns) and I just started learning to reverse round the corner. I really dread the idea of parallel parking, but one step at a time eh :)

Hope you all had a good and busy June!
