Glittering Stripes FO

Yarn: Sirdar Softspun DK - Amethyst & Jet Black
Hook: 4mm

Hello! It is not often I get a finished object, mainly because I cannot be monogamous with my crochet projects! I started this scarf at the beginning of September and it has taken me a month and a half to complete it! In my defence it is a very long scarf, it measures approximately 86inches long and 5 inches wide it is perfect for wrapping around my neck twice. I think I have made it in perfect time for the chilly weather, as it has been getting very bitter the past few days.

To see FOs from other people check out Tami's Amis blog!

  1. That IS perfectly timed. I feel warmer just looking at your pictures. Love the pattern, with the two colours like that :)

  2. Yes, that is perfectly timed :-) I had to get my winter coat out today :-) I'd seen that yarn in the LYS - how do you rate it ? :-)

    1. Oh it is lovely! I thought it would be difficult to crochet with but it was wonderful to use and feel.

Now its wonderful to wear, I may get more in future!

  3. That is so awesome! 86 in? You can wear it multiple ways which makes it so fun.

  4. I laughed out loud to read about your inability to stay monogamous (with crochet). Too funny! Lovely and unique scarf. Thanks for sharing.

  5. It might have taken a long time to make the scarf, but the result is beautiful! Warm and chic colors.

  6. Ooh, I love the design and the colors. I have recently stumbled across Attic24 and there a lot of really cute patterns there. I would love it if you would come over and link up at "Pin There, Done That " Wednesday link up on my new crochet blog, Quartered Heart Crochet. It's right over here.....

  7. Never would have guessed this was the granny stripe pattern, it looks so different and really works with the darky, sparkly colours...My granny stripe is going the way of the frog I fear...haven't worked on it in ages and ages....oh dear. x
