Today I received the BEST yarn ever in the mail, as it has all the colours of the rainbow in it! It is Kauni Artistic Rainbow pencil roving and it is very soft to touch (and cuddle!). I have been wanting to buy a rainbow gradient yarn for while now, and decided to treat myself to some!
My only dilemma, is that it is so beautiful that I don't know what to make with it! Can you suggest any crochet pattern/items that I should hook up wit this beautiful yarn? I really appreciate any suggestions!
Additional note - this is chunky pencil roving and the whole ball weighs 268g to give you an idea of how big it is.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
Take care,
Hazel x
A shawl would look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI love shawls, and they look great but I am not a shawl person :( I started one last year and it is stilling hibernating somewhere unfinished
DeleteI agree with Susan, a shawl would be nice. Or maybe a neck warmer if you only have the one ball. Its lovely. I saw on a group I am in that someone was making a sideways shawl with a similar yarn. Starting from one corner and sort of made on the diagonal. It looked really nice.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite chunky and is nearly 270g so I could probably get a decent scarf and hat set from it I think....
DeleteNeckwarmer with fun, funky buttons!
ReplyDeleteIt would be very cute and warm, especially since its chunky :)

ReplyDeleteThis would be AWESOME in rainbow, and very you I think.
oooooh that is very pretty Tink, I agree it would loo amazing in rainbow!
DeleteSorry Hazel I can't suggest anything. When I get wool that is as wonderful looking as yours, I have to put it somewhere where it can be viewed, touched and cooed over.
ReplyDeleteThen maybe, something will come to me that I think is worth it being used on. Perhaps that's why I have still have yarn that I've bought because I love the look of, but not ready to use. Lol.

Oh! I know that...I have several yarns as well that are untouched because they are too pretty to be used in one of my random crochet projects! Something will come to me though!
DeleteIt's soooo lovely! How about a cosy, chunky cowl to brighten up the winter?
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
xx
A sorry from me too Hazel. I am like Sally of ColourMeCrochet, the yarn is so beautiful I would love to look at it many time and feel it. And some day I would know, but not at this moment, sorry:)
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous yarn! I think a scarf or a nice chunky cowl would look great.

I love that yearn and I think you should get on and use it so that you can wear it all winter! If it was me I would make a cowl and hand-warmers, but I'm not really a hat person unlike you.
