It is great to see that Bloomin' CAL is back on with Chrissie and Ladybird Diaries. I've been missing it a little bit over the Holidays and missing the weekly motivation to keep going with my hexagon project. Recently I decided to join together the hexagons that I have crocheted already, although I have learned that I really don't like sewing motifs together.....its so off putting! I wish I had just done my usual 'join as you go' trick that I do with blankets, unless anyone has a great technique when it comes to joining hexagons.....please enlighten me! Other than that, I am really pleased with how it is turning out and I have decided I am going to make this a baby blanket, for my sanity and keep it for whenever a baby is born in my family.
Planning to crochet more hexagons sometime this week, would really like to see how this looks when it's finished!!
I am joining in on the Bloomin' CAL with Chrissie Crafts and Ladybird Diaries, so check out their pages for more projects on the Bloomin' Crochet-A-Long if you fancy joining in!

It had never occurred to me to wonder how to join hexagons, I can see why it would be a pain sewing them together! They look very neat though :)
ReplyDeleteHi Hazel, thanks for paying me a visit!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your hexes!!
I love the colors!!! And I love doing baby blankets...short and sweet. I obviously do not like joining together much either!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good Hazel and a good idea to keep it a smallish project too. Joining as you go has its merits but if you keep them til the end you can play around with the lay out and that's always fun :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are the queen of blankets. I can see how it's more work to join hexagons the traditional way with all those sides to account for.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hexes! Hazel so lovely really like the colours you've used. x
ReplyDeletehey lady, looking good. Jo xxx
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I imagine that all that joining, especially of hexies is quite a job! xx
ReplyDeleteHa ha! The same query is going through my mind as I embark on completing 114 hexies: Surely there must be a way to JAYG? I've not seen a tute anywhere, but there must be way, there simply must! (Imagine the fame, fortune and accolades that await when we do solve this conundrum...er...) Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteIt really looks gorgeous, the patterns, the colours...all together!!
