Crochet Mood Blanket 2014 - Week 2

Hello everyone! So far my progress in the crochet mood blanket is two squares, I took all of your advice and thought that doing one square a week would be much easier near the end of the year as I don't really want reds and greys near Christmas time if I chose to do a giant square. For those who haven't read about the crochet mood blanket, the details are on my first post right here.

I am going to include the description of what mood my colours are every week that I post, as it is really easy to forget what my colours mean. Week 1 is purple and week 2 is blue.

Purple - Happiness
Blue - Calm
Green - Refreshed
Yellow- Excited
Orange - Creative
Pink - Loved
Red - Extremely Emotional (Anger/PMS)
Grey - Meh

I keep being tempted to do one square a day, but I don't want to overwhelm myself. I just distract myself with the five blankets I already have on the go.

  1. Looks really good so far. I have to make a blanket for my baby brother's 30th birthday (he is five years older than my oldest child!) and I think I am going to go with granny tiles! Thanks for hosting again!

  2. Hazel, you are doing such a great job with all of your blankets. Love the colors you have picked and the moods you have paired them with. My goal is to simply finish the African Flower Baby Blanket I have been making for 8 months.

  3. I do love your colour choices for your squares and I love the simplicity of the granny square. I think I have a touch of crochet envy and am wishing that I had done the granny squares now.

  4. Fantastic, I am really going to love watching this take shape! But oh, you do realise that the week you post a red square you'll be inundated with comments of well wishes and concern... ;-) I'll just ask for your address and post you some cookies...Chrissie x
